Eve Update: Fun waves till dark. We have had such good wind for this swell. Clean prob some chest sets coming in till sunset. The buoy dropped a little. Surfline saying flat tomorrow. How? That hurricane is pulsing! and it takes awhile to get here. Its gotta be up. But always remember that this is the gulf coast. We’ll be there first thing tomorrow. Bunch of shots to edit but gotta get some rest.
Noon Update: Sally is squeezing some juice our way cause the waves have picked up. We been saying and its a fact that it takes some time for the swell to travel from the source of the storm to the Jetty. Maybe it takes a day or so for the swell to travel well maybe sooner cause its pretty good. Chest sets, offshore winds. Glassy to clean conditions. High tide was at 11am. Going out till 7pm. Could get more sizeier but it should be fun for a few days still. Go surf yourselves out, plenty of waves and plenty of days of surf, so get your fill and feel what its like to live at a consistent surf break for once in your life.
6:30am Surf and Weather Report: Hurricane Sally is a cat 2 and could strengthen more. Thats good news for us, bad news for the North east Gulf. Buoys almost 5ft at 8secs, we’re gonna have surf for a few more days now. The water will be cleaner in the morning with the incoming tide. High tide around 11am, Low tide around 7pm. Waves have been a little better on incoming tide but you can find fun waves all day. Waves in the waist set range were guessing with bigger sets. Rules of Surfing: If you want to learn to surf its time to look at some of the rules. Or even if you’ve been surfing for awhile maybe you don’t really know the rules. Maybe you’re getting run over a lot, maybe you’re getting yelled at here and there. Well apply the rules in this Surfline Article and maybe that’ll happen a little less. Maybe.
