Eve Update: It was up all day. Pretty windy all day outta the NNW. And it did clean up in the late afternoon for anyone that stayed out that long. Will try to post more pics but its gonna be a pretty busy night. Should have a little something left over tomorrow.
7:30am Surf and Weather Report: Bouy at 6ft 9 seconds, but the wind is cranking outta the North west. Hopefully it’ll chill out while the tide pushes in sometime this morning. Waves in the chest set range, kinda weak where its breaking at the jetty but cleaner the closer you are to the rocks. It will be up all day. Maybe a south facing beach would be more off shore side shore. Don’t worry about it if you have all day. The tide is pretty low this morning, high tide around 12:30pm. Indepth Surf Forecast.
Showers, mainly after 1pm. High near 73. Breezy, with a west wind 9 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Venice Florida Fishing Report Dec 23: Your Venice Florida fishing report for today is: The fishing has been on fire. Mackeral have been biting and a lot of reds in the inter coastal back water. Flounder and a bunch of ladyfish been biting too. The water is getting cooler. Go fishing guys. FWC makes snook, redfish temporarily catch-and-release only in areas affected by red tide. Self-guided kayak fishing available at Jetty rentals at the North Jetty on the south end of Casey Key. 941-525-0117.
Snook Redfish and Spotted Sea Trout are catch and release till May of 2020.
