Eve Update: It was pelting out there off and on for a little while. Some thigh high waves came through, not the best conditions. Lets hope for some better surf tomorrow.
3:45pm Update: The buoy is up but just not hitting the jetty full on yet. Maybe a gulf thigh set right now. Could get better as the tide drops. Thanks to JC for the update shots. See yall down there
11am Update: Can’t believe its not up yet! Said every surfer on Earth at some point. On the Western side of Florida we say it a lot. There are occasional shin sets right now but it can pick up quick. The good news is that the wind is cranking out of the south. The bad news is the tide is going to get very high at 2:30pm. Then some more possible good news: The tide goes out fast till dark so if its not up at high tide it will hopefully pick up toward evening. Super psycked that it doesn’t get dark till 8pm.
Surf and Weather Report: There was a parking lot full of disappointed dudes last night. The saying,” I thought it would be up by now” rang through the area. Its that south east wind, we needed more south/southwest. The buoy is 3.5ft at 6 secs, The wind is blasting outta the south over 20mph since 9:30am. If the wind keeps this up the waves will be getting better in no time. Low tide was at 8:30am, high at 2:30pm. More surf report info: Click here for the indepth Surf Forecast.
