3pm Update: Its windy, lumpy, funky but you can find some nugs out there. Wind might lay down for the evening sesh so go have some fun out there.
Surf and Weather Report: The wind has been blowing all night, waves in the waist high range. The water had warmed up to 70 but turned colder over night, around 68 and dropping. High in the low 60’s. Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 63. Breezy, with a north wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
Clear, with a low around 46. North wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
Sunny, with a high near 64. North northeast wind 7 to 11 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.
Mostly clear, with a low around 51. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Venice Florida Fishing Report Feb 27: Your Venice Florida fishing report for today is: The fishing has been hot! The sheephead bite is strong, the snook bite is coming around. A guy did get a 35 inch snook using a white paddle tail. And the stone crabs are in for sure. Go fishing guys. FWC makes snook, redfish temporarily catch-and-release only in areas affected by red tide. Self-guided kayak fishing available at Jetty rentals at the North Jetty on the south end of Casey Key. 941-525-0117.
Snook Redfish and Spotted Sea Trout are catch and release till May of 2021.
