8am Surf and Weather Report: Big ol storms came through last night and we may have more on the way this afternoon. The fishing bite has been good probably cause of the full moon. The water is silky smooth and clearing up. Minimal surf on the radar on either side of Florida. Make a mental note for next year, book a surf trip for June. Great weather though. Venice Florida Fishing Report June 16: Your Venice Florida fishing report for today is: Firing! Mackeral have been going nuts, and snook fishing in on fire this time of year. You can always find fish around here in the rivers and offshore. FWC makes snook, redfish temporarily catch-and-release only in areas affected by red tide. Self-guided kayak fishing available at Jetty rentals at the North Jetty on the south end of Casey Key. 941-525-0117.
