Eve Update: Best early then the wind hit it. Chunky nugs all day cleaning up a bit here and there with the storms. Lets hope for an epic gulf day tomorrow
1:30pm Update: Some gulf chest sets coming through, pretty windy onshore. Its gonna be up all day and tomorrow so don’t kill yourself getting down here.
Surf and Weather Report: Bouy at 5ft, wind super light at sunrise. Waves in the waist plus set range. Get on it before the wind starts cranking which it will . Enough swell for the waves to be fun all day but the incoming tide it could be fun early till around noon, then at the end of the day it could be windy and big and fun.

Venice Florida Fishing Report Dec 23: Your Venice Florida fishing report for today is: The fishing has been on fire. Mackeral have been biting and a lot of reds in the inter coastal back water. Flounder and a bunch of ladyfish been biting too. The water is getting cooler. Go fishing guys. FWC makes snook, redfish temporarily catch-and-release only in areas affected by red tide. Self-guided kayak fishing available at Jetty rentals at the North Jetty on the south end of Casey Key. 941-525-0117.
Snook Redfish and Spotted Sea Trout are catch and release till May of 2020.
