Surf and Weather Report: Another smooth day on the gulf with possible afternoon showers. Found a bunch of things right at our spot at the jetty yesterday free diving. Probably a lot more down there too. Go fishing, surf is flat here and on the coast for a week or so as of now. No tax at the Compound Boardshop and tent sale on Saturday check out Flyer below. Venice Florida Fishing Report Aug 7: Your Venice Florida fishing report for today is: The fishing has been good. The snook bite has been slowing down. Snapper, reds, stray sheepshead and pompano, baracuda, everything. Tarpon rolling through the jetty. Snook Redfish and trout catch and release till May 2021. Self-guided kayak fishing available at Jetty rentals at the North Jetty on the south end of Casey Key. 941-525-0117.
