Sunset Update: Sorry guys slow internet connection at South Jetty. Where are we living in a 3rd world country with slow connections!?!? 1st world problems. Still fun thigh sets cruising through, amazing sunset sesh for sure. 2pm update just loaded at 7:30pm.
2PM Update: Buoy is 4 ft at 7 secs, NW under 15. Fun waves coming in all day, another higher low tide at plus 1 foot is at 5pm. Waves are up for surfing. Most fun on long boards.
10 AM Update: Fun waves comimg in, get on it.
First Light Surf Report: Buoy is 5ft at 7 secs with 10 mph north east offshore wind. Air temp 50, water temp 68. Low tide was at 5:30am high tide at noon thirty. What does this all mean? It means go surfing. It is suupposed to fade through the day so head out early if possible. Sunny, with a high near 64. Also Jetty Jacks is finally open! Venice Florida Fishing Report 3-13-18: Your Red Hot Venice Florida fishing report for today is: Fishing Report: 14 out of 100 on the daily average fishing rating. People say to fish before the front and after the front. Snook season Opened March 1st. Pompano are biting hard, blues, mackeral and a lot of sheepshead. Major fishing times: 2pm-5pm and from 8AM-12PM. Guided kayak fishing available at Jetty rentals at the North Jetty on the south end of Casey Key. 941-525-0117.
Brad Wesoloski: Not too much going on this morning. A few sheepshead here and there. Blake managed this little guy about a foot long. Sent back to swim another day.
