Eve Update: Fun waves at both jetties this afternoon to evening. North jetty focusing the swell with a few mutants that connected to the shore and south jetty with some reeling rights. Not a lot of evidence out there but for the guys that were there. A fun time for sure. Still a red tide alert though.Wear some goggles
Longtime local Kenny Myers stoked that he checked North this afternoon. If you look close he’s the one on a medium sizer going left in the photos.
Afternoon Update: That wind cranked around 25mph for a few hours. There should be some fun ones till dark. Update shots from South Jetty and Lido area.
Morning Surf Report: North jetty looked fun on the cam this morning. By the time we got down there it didn’t look as fun. Didn’t feel any red tide in the air but I’m sure theres some in the water at the jetty. Waves coming in the waist high range and should get bigger as the storms roll through. Red tide should be better the more north you go. Red Tide Status.Scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. Heat index values as high as 100. Breezy, with a west wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
